Front Turn Signal Change Saab 9-3 (2003-2011)

The video above shows you how to change a burnt out front turn signal bulb on your 2004 Saab 9-3. If the turn signal (also known as a blinker or flasher) blinks rapidly or doesn't blink at all / stays stuck when engaged, this is your 9-3's way of telling you that a turn signal bulb is burnt out. Troubleshooting for burnt out turn signal bulbs in your 9-3 is relatively easy - turn your hazard lights on and check the front of your 9-3 and then the back, whichever side is not illuminating is the side with the burnt out bulb. We recommend that you change both the driver and passenger side bulbs at the same time as they get dimmer over time and if one is out, then the other one is likely to burn out soon.

When changing the turn signal bulb in your 9-3, be careful not to touch the glass portion of the bulb with your fingers as this will cause the bulb to burn out prematurely.

2. First open the hood and locate the bulb/s that need to be replaced (there are two front turn signal bulbs)
3. For the turn signal bulb near the headlights release the fasteners and remove the cover
4. Then remove the reservoir
5. Now remove the bulb assembly
6. Next remove the bulb from the socket
7. For the side turn signal bulb remove the housing
8. Then remove the bulb assembly and the bulb from the socket
9. Now insert the new turn signal bulb for a 2004 Saab 9-3
10. Next insert the bulb assembly and secure the bulb housing
11. Insert the new front turn signal bulb for a 2004 Saab 9-3
12. Then insert the bulb assembly
13. Next replace the reservoir
14. Finally replace the cover and secure it with the rivets
15. Now the replacement of burnt out front turn signal lights are complete for a 2004 Saab 9-3
