The 1995 Dodge Ram 1500 is a relatively easy truck to maintain, and a good choice for the average truck owner. Accessing the headlight with reliability is easy to do, as you only have to reach behind the housing for access to the bulb. The brake fluid reservoir is easily visible in the engine bay. This will allow you to check and replenish the fluid level on a regular basis. The oil level is easy to check, as the oil dipstick is easily accessible in the engine bay.

Some things are more problematic on the 1995 Dodge Ram 1500. You will have to lower the spare tire from under the vehicle for reliable access. This can be a problem, as the lowering mechanism can grow rusted to the vehicle over time and be difficult to turn. Access for the tail light can be a problem, as you will need to remove torx bolts for access. The tools necessary may not be readily available for a repair. While the engine coolant is easy to refill, the level markers are very difficult to see. This can make it tough to keep an eye on the fluid level.
