The 1998 Fiat Marea SX Estate is a moderately easy vehicle to maintain but is more recommended to those capable of vehicle maintenance. Changing the headlight with reliability is no problem, as you only have to reach behind the housing to access the bulb. The components of the spare tire are easily accessible in the rear of the vehicle. This keeps the tire and jack kit ready to go in case of emergency. The engine coolant reservoir is easily visible in the engine bay. This will allow you to check and replenish the fluid level on a regular basis.

Some things are problematic on the 1998 Fiat Marea SX Estate. You will have to completely remove the tail light housing for access to the tail light bulb. This will require you to remove multiple covers and use a few tools to complete. To change the rear wiper blade you will need to use a tool. Other models will not require this. You will have to remove a cover to access the interior fuse box. The tools necessary may not be readily available for a repair.
