Consumer Review Video - 1999 Suzuki Grand Vitara JLX 2.5L V6

The 1999 Suzuki Grand Vitara JLX is a somewhat easy vehicle to maintain. You won’t have to remove any panels or crawl too far back to access the petcock, which will allow for reliable coolant flushes. Monitoring the power steering fluid won’t be a problem thanks to the unobstructed access to the reservoir. The engine air filter housing disengages without the use of tools, allowing you to quickly lift the cover to access the filter.

However, the 1999 Suzuki Grand Vitara JLX has its downsides, primarily with some convoluted lights set-ups. You’ll need to use multiple tools to remove the entire bulb housing for access to either the headlights or the tail lights, which won’t make for reliable bulb changes. The headlights in particular may be problematic as you must remove the grille, as well. The spare tire may prove time-consuming to remove from the back of the hatch door.
