Common problems and easy repairs on a 2002 Getz

The 2002 Hyundai Getz GL is a moderately easy vehicle to maintain but is more recommended to those capable of vehicle maintenance. You will have to lower the glove box in order to access the cabin air filter. Other models will include a panel in the rear of the glove box to gain access. The brake fluid reservoir is difficult to see in the back of the engine bay. This will make it hard to check and replenish the fluid level on a regular basis. You will need to use a few tools in order to pry the tail light housing out of the vehicle to access the tail light bulbs.

Some things are easier on the 2002 Hyundai Getz GL. Changing the engine air filter with reliability is no problem, as you only have to disengage a few fasteners for access to the filter. These fasteners are easy to disengage. The headlight is easy to change, as you only have to reach behind the housing for access to the bulb. Checking the oil level is easy to do, as the dipstick is easily accessible in the engine bay.
