Car Displayed: 2003 GMC Sierra 1500 WT 4.8L V8

The 2003 GMC Sierra 1500 WT is a moderately difficult vehicle to maintain, but shouldn’t be too hard for those experienced in vehicle maintenance. You will have to lower the tire from under the vehicle for access to it. The lowering mechanism can grow rusted to the vehicle over time and be difficult to turn. Changing the parking light with reliability can be a problem, as you will have to remove the headlight housing first. Other models will not require this step. The center brake light will require a few tools to access.

Some things are easier on the 2003 GMC Sierra 1500 WT. The interior fuses are easy to access behind an easy to remove cover in the cab of the vehicle. Changing the taillight bulbs isn’t difficult, as you will only need to remove a few bolts to remove the tail light housing for access. The on-board diagnostic plug is located right under the steering wheel.
