The 2006 BMW X5 4.4i is a relatively difficult vehicle to maintain, but shouldn’t be too hard for those experienced in vehicle maintenance. You will have to remove a large panel from under the vehicle for access to the petcock. Changing the front wiper blade is made harder, due to having to follow unique steps for raising the blade. You will need to use many tools in order to remove the fog light housing for reliable access to the bulb. These tools may not be readily available for a repair.

Some things are easier on the 2006 BMW X5 4.4i. The components of the spare tire are easily accessible in the rear of the vehicle. This keeps the tire and jack kit ready to go in case of emergency. The engine coolant reservoir is easily visible in the engine bay. This will allow you to check and replenish the fluid level with no problem. Checking the oil level is easy to do, as the dipstick is easily accessible in the engine bay.
