Consumer Review Video - 2006 Mazda Tribute S 3.0L V6

Car Displayed: 2006 Mazda Tribute S 3.0L V6

Despite a few problematic repairs, the 2006 Mazda Tribute S is an easier SUV to maintain when compared to other similar models. Checking the transmission fluid level is easy, as the fluid dipstick is reliably accessible in the engine bay. Not every model includes this dipstick. The headlight bulb is easy to change, as you only have to reach behind the housing for access. Checking the engine coolant fluid level is easy to do, as the fluid reservoir is easily visible in the engine bay.

As stated, some things are more problematic on the 2006 Mazda Tribute S. You will need to remove torx bolts in order to access the center brake light. The tools necessary may not be readily available for a repair. To access the fog light, you will have to disengage many fasteners, and reach through the wheel well lining, for access to the intended bulb. This lining can cause problems, as it can grow tight to the vehicle over time and be difficult to peel back. The lower radiator hose can be problematic to access for a coolant drain. You will need to crawl under the SUV, remove a few fasteners, and remove a few panels in order to access. This does not allow for reliable access.
