The 2008 BMW 535xi is a much more difficult car to maintain than other similar models. Accessing the tail lights requires you to remove fasteners and a lining. Most similar models include a panel designated for access, making this much more difficult in comparison. Similar to accessing the tail lights, you will have to peel back a lining and remove a few fasteners for access to the battery. To remove the cabin air filter, you will need many tools to pull the housing out of the vehicle. Most vehicles make this much easier.

There are easier repairs on the 2008 BMW 535xi. The components of the spare tire are easily accessible in the trunk, keeping the tire and jack kit safe from the elements and ready to go for a quick tire change. The high beam bulb is easily accessible, as you only need to reach behind the housing for access. Changing the wiper blades is easy, as you only have to pinch a few tabs to pull the blade out. Many other vehicles require the use of tools that you may not have readily available to change this blade.
