Consumer Review Video - 2013 BMW X5 xDrive35i 3.0L 6 Cyl. Turbo

Common problems and easy repairs on a 2013 X5

The 2013 BMW X5 xDrive35i is moderately easy to maintain, but does have its share of difficult procedures. The third tail light requires a second bulb assembly to be removed in order to reach it. The cabin air filter is positioned in the cowl and multiple panels and bolts must be removed before it can be accessed. The interior fuse box is hard to find beneath the glove box and will need to be disengaged.

However, the 2013 BMW X5 xDrive35i does have its upsides. The headlights are accessible by simply reaching behind the bulb housing, and the only one that requires tools (the fog light) is just behind a single panel. The other tail lights are all located in a single bulb assembly that doesn’t require any tools for access. The engine fuse box is found behind simple covers in the trunk and comes provided with a fuse puller.
