The 2013 Kia Sorento LX is a relatively easy SUV to maintain, and a good choice for the average SUV owner. Changing the headlight is no problem, as you only have to reach behind the housing for reliable access. The engine air filter is easy to access, as you only have to disengage a few fasteners for access to the filter. These fasteners are easy to disengage. Checking the engine coolant fluid reservoir with reliability is easy to do, as the reservoir is very visible in the engine bay. This will make it easy to check and replenish the fluid level.
Some things are more problematic on the 2013 Kia Sorento LX. You will have to make a tough reach in the engine bay in order to access the petcock for a coolant drain. To change the fog light, you will have to peel back the wheel well lining. This lining can grow tight to the vehicle and be difficult to peel back. Changing the battery is harder to do than usual, as you will have to remove an air filter intake vent first. This is an extra step you won’t find on other models.
