Common problems and easy repairs on a 2014 1500

The 2014 Dodge Ram 1500 Big Horn is a relatively easy truck to maintain, and shouldn’t be too hard for someone experienced in vehicle maintenance. Accessing the fog light is easy to do, as you only have to reach under the vehicle for reliable access. Changing the engine air filter is easy to do, as you only have to disengage a few fasteners for access to the filter. These fasteners are easy to disengage. The Bluetooth is no problem to connect, as there are clear steps in the electronic menu for connecting your phone. Other models make this harder.

Some things are harder on the 2014 Dodge Ram 1500 Big Horn. Changing the headlight is extremely problematic. You will have to complete many steps in order to remove the housing for reliable access, and you will have to use many tools. You will have to lower the tire from under the vehicle in order to access. The lowering mechanism can grow rusted to the vehicle over time and be difficult to turn. To access the tail light, you will have to remove torx bolts. This will require tools you may not have readily available for a repair.
