Common problems and easy repairs on a 2016 MDX
The 2016 Acura MDX SH-AWD is a relatively difficult SUV to maintain, but shouldn’t be too hard for someone experienced in vehicle maintenance. You will have to lower the tire from under the vehicle for reliable access. The lowering mechanism can grow rusted to the vehicle over time and be difficult to turn. To change the front wiper blade, you will have to use a tool. Other models do not require the use of tools for changing your blades. The engine coolant fluid reservoir is not overly visible in the engine bay. This can make it hard to check and replenish the fluid level on a regular basis.
Some things are less problematic on the 2016 Acura MDX SH-AWD. The cabin air filter is no problem to access in the rear of the glove box. There are a few easy to remove covers for your convenience. Changing the engine air filter is no problem. You only have to disengage a few fasteners for access, and these fasteners are easy do disengage. The brake fluid reservoir is easily visible in the engine bay. This will allow you to check and replenish the fluid level on a regular basis.
