The 2016 GMC Sierra 1500 SLT is a difficult truck to maintain. All of the headlights and the tail lights will prove difficult to change, as they are all LED and will demand entire bulb housing removals to do so. The lower radiator hose will only offer a cramped reach, which won’t make for reliable coolant flushes. Fixing a flat tire could be a problem, as well, as the spare could potentially rust to the undercarriage of the vehicle.

However, the 2016 GMC Sierra 1500 SLT does have a few upsides. Connecting your phone via Bluetooth won’t be a problem given the clear instructions on the touchscreen menu. The unobstructed access to the brake fluid reservoir will allow you to monitor the fluid level with reliability. Both the oil drain plug and the oil filter have easy access that will cut down on the hassle of performing an oil change.
