Common problems and easy repairs on a 2016 Pilot

The 2016 Honda Pilot EX is a moderately easy car to maintain, and a good choice for someone experienced in vehicle maintenance. Changing the engine air filter is easy to do, as you only have to disengage a few fasteners in order to lift the cover for reliable access to the filter. These fasteners are easy to disengage. The Bluetooth is easy to connect, as there are clear steps in the electronic menu for connecting your phone. Checking the transmission fluid level is easy to do, as the fluid dipstick is easily accessible in the engine bay. Not every model includes this dipstick.

Some things are more problematic on the 2016 Honda Pilot EX. Accessing one of the headlights is a pain, as you will have to remove a large panel and an air intake to change the bulb. Other models make this access simpler. You will have to remove similar elements in order to access your battery. This can make it difficult to complete a quick battery change, as you may not have the correct tools ready to go. To change the front wiper blade, you will need to use a tool to pry up a tab. Other models do not require the use of tools for changing your wiper blades.
