Common problems and easy repairs on a 2016 Sorento

The 2016 Kia Sorento LX is a relatively easy vehicle to maintain, and a good choice for someone experienced in vehicle maintenance. Changing the engine air filter is no problem, as you only have to disengage one cover and a few fasteners for access. These fasteners are easy to disengage. The headlight is easy to change, as you only have to reach behind the housing for reliable access. Both the front and rear wiper blades are easy to change on this vehicle. No tools will be required to complete.

Some things are more problematic on the 2016 Kia Sorento LX. To access the petcock for a coolant drain, you will have to remove a large panel from under the vehicle. This is a problem, as you will have to contend with gravity as you complete. You will have to lower the tire from under the vehicle for access. The lowering mechanism can grow rusted to the vehicle over time and be difficult to turn. To access the cabin air filter, you will have to lower the glove box first. This is a complicated step, and this repair would have been easier if there were designated panels in the rear of the glove box for access.
