Common problems and easy repairs on a 2016 ProMaster 1500
The 2016 Ram ProMaster 1500 is difficult to maintain. Many different screws and bolts must be disengaged before you can remove the bulb housing for access to the headlights, which won’t allow for reliable bulb changes. Reaching the tail lights will be similarly problematic, as the entire bulb housing and an additional panel will need to be removed before you can access them. The spare tire is stored underneath the vehicle, and you must crouch down into an awkward position before you can lower it.
However the 2016 Ram ProMaster 1500 has its upsides. With the help of a panel puller the front wiper blade disengages from the wiper arm with ease, allowing for somewhat reliable replacements. Monitoring the brake fluid won’t be a problem thanks to the unobstructed access to the reservoir. The oil drain plug and the oil filter are easy to access, allowing for hassle-free oil changes.
