Common problems and easy repairs on a 2018 Accord
The 2018 Honda Accord LX is easy to maintain. The engine air filter housing disengages without the use of tools, allowing for quick and reliable filter changes. Jumpstarting or replacing the battery won’t be a problem thanks to the unobstructed access of both the terminals and bracket. The spare tire and jack kit are easy to reach underneath the trunk lining, allowing for quick access and set-up in the event of a flat.
However, the 2018 Honda Accord LX has some notable pain points. The washer fluid reservoir must be removed for access to the highbeam light on the passenger side of the vehicle, which won’t allow for reliable bulb changes. Performing regular coolant flushes may be problematic as you must remove a panel from under the vehicle before you can access the petcock. The transmission fluid cap is deep in the engine bay and will be challenging to reach.
