Common problems and easy repairs on a 1999 Taurus
The 1999 Ford Taurus LX is relatively easy to repair. Changing the engine air filter is easy due to the convenient location in the engine bay. Likewise, changing the center brake light only requires reaching beneath the bulb housing to replace. An oil change is also easier due to the ease of access for the oil drain plug.
On the other hand, the 1999 Ford Taurus LX does have a few unique repairs. You’ll need to remove many fasteners and a panel to replace the reverse light, and accessing the front turn signal requires removing the headlight housing first.
