Consumer Review Video - 1999 Mercury Grand Marquis LS 4.6L V8

Car Displayed: 1999 Mercury Grand Marquis LS 4.6L V8

The 1999 Mercury Grand Marquis LS is an easy car to maintain. The battery has open access to its bracket and terminals, allowing you to reliably change it whenever necessary. The engine coolant reservoir also has very open access, so monitoring its fluid levels shouldn’t be a problem. The engine air filter can be accessed without the use of any tools, allowing you to replace your air filter without hassle.

However, the 1999 Mercury Grand Marquis LS has its downsides. A large panel that’s secured by multiple rivets will need to be removed to access the headlights, which won’t allow for reliable bulb changes. Multiple fasteners and pieces of trunk lining will need to be removed before the tail lights can be accessed, which will slow down any replacements of them. Accessing the oil filter may be a problem, as it’s deep in the engine bay and might be hard to reach.
