Consumer Review Video - 2001 Pontiac Aztek 3.4L V6

Common problems and easy repairs on a 2001 Aztek

The 2001 Pontiac Aztek is a very easy car to maintain. The headlight housing is easy to remove, as you only need to disengage one fastener, making a headlight replacement very easy. Checking the oil level is also easy, as the oil dipstick is easily accessible in the engine bay. The brake fluid reservoir is located in an easily accessible spot in the engine bay.

Not everything is perfect on the 2001 Pontiac Aztek. In order to access the engine air filter, you will have to loosen the hose on the air filter housing first. To remove the battery, you will have to remove many other components first. Other models usually require you to remove only a battery bracket, making this much harder. Raising the wiper blades is an involved process with many steps. Most cars allow you to raise the blades without having to use the wiper stalk.
