Consumer Review Video - 2002 Ford Taurus SE 2-Valve 3.0L V6

Common problems and easy repairs on a 2002 Taurus

The 2002 Ford Taurus SE 2-Valve is somewhat easy to maintain, but is not without its challenges. Multiple different fasteners will need to be removed in order to access the headlights, which won’t allow for reliable bulb changes. The tail lights have a similarly obstructed set-up, with many parts removals necessary for access that will require tools to do so. Changing the cabin air filter may be a problem on account of the cramped position in the cowl.

However, the 2002 Ford Taurus SE 2-Valve has many easier repairs. The spare tire and jack kit are packaged together beneath the trunk lining and are easy to remove, so fixing a flat shouldn’t be too problematic. The transmission fluid dipstick is relatively quick to find and easy to read, allowing you to monitor the fluid levels with reliability. The engine air filter doesn’t require tools to remove, allowing for reliable replacements.
