Consumer Review Video - 2003 Cadillac Seville SLS 4.6L V8

Common problems and easy repairs on a 2003 Seville

The 2003 Cadillac Seville SLS is moderately easy to maintain. The on-board diagnostics plug is quickly found in the footwell of the driver seat, so connecting an OBD scanner shouldn’t be a problem. The unobstructed access to the brake fluid reservoir allows you to monitor the fluid levels with much reliability. The engine air filter housing can be reached without the use of tools to allow for quick and hassle-free filter changes.

However, the 2003 Cadillac Seville SLS has a few pain points. The transmission fluid dipstick is positioned deep in the engine bay and is obstructed by the air filter intake vent, which won’t allow for reliable fluid level monitoring. Adding oil to the vehicle could be a problem on account of the titled placement of the cap. The engine coolant reservoir has an obscured set-up that will make it hard to check the levels or the radiator hose.
