Consumer Review Video - 2003 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo 4.0L 6 Cyl.

Common problems and easy repairs on a 2003 Grand Cherokee

The 2003 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo is a relatively easy vehicle to maintain, but will require some know how and tools to complete any bulb changes. Checking the transmission fluid level with reliability is no problem, as the dipstick is easily accessible in the engine bay. Not every model includes this dipstick. The engine coolant reservoir is easily visible in the engine bay. This will allow you to check and replenish the fluid level on a regular basis. The engine air filter is no problem to change, as you only have to disengage a few fasteners for access to the filter. These fasteners are easy to disengage.

Some things are more problematic on the 2003 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo. You will have to peel back the wheel well lining for access to the fog light. This lining can grow tight to the vehicle and be difficult to peel back. The tail light bulb can be tough to replace, as you will have to completely remove the bulb housing first. Similarly, replacing the headlight bulbs will require you to completely remove the bulb housing first. Other models make this access much easier to complete.
