The 2003 Volkswagen Golf GL is a relatively easy vehicle to maintain, and a good choice for someone experienced in vehicle maintenance. The components of the spare tire are easily accessible in the rear of the vehicle. This keeps the tire and jack kit reliably access in case of emergency. Checking the oil level is no problem, as the oil dipstick is easily accessible in the engine bay. The engine coolant reservoir is easily visible in the engine bay.
