Common problems and easy repairs on a 2005 LS430

The 2005 Lexus LS430 is somewhat difficult to maintain. All of the headlights will be difficult to reach, as the wheel well lining, the bumper, and/or the housing itself must be disengaged for access to the bulbs. Performing a coolant flush or oil change might prove problematic on account of the obstructed access to both the oil filter and the petcock. The engine air filter is also in a cramped position that won’t make for reliable filter changes.

However, the 2005 Lexus LS430 does have its upsides. No tools nor extensive parts removals will be necessary for access to the cabin air filter, making for reliable filter changes. Monitoring the brake fluid reservoir won’t be a problem thanks to the unobstructed access to the reservoir. The spare tire and jack kit are both easy to reach in the trunk, which will cut down on the hassle of servicing a flat.
