The 2006 Buick Lucerne CXS is a moderately difficult vehicle to maintain but shouldn’t be too hard for those experienced in vehicle maintenance. You will have to remove torx bolts to access the engine air filter. The tools necessary may not be readily available for a repair. To change the headlight with reliability you will need to reach through the wheel well lining first. This lining can grow tight to the vehicle and be difficult to peel back. Reaching the tail light bulb will require you to remove the entire housing first.

Some things are easier on the 2006 Buick Lucerne CXS. The components of the spare tire are easily accessible in the rear of the vehicle. This keeps the tire and jack kit ready to go in case of emergency. Changing the cabin air filter is no problem, as you only need to remove one cover in the cowl of the vehicle for access. This cover removes with just the push of a few tabs. The brake fluid reservoir is easily visible in the engine bay. This will allow you to check and replenish the fluid level on a regular basis.
