The 2006 Ford Mustang GT is a relatively easy vehicle to maintain, but will require some tools for its more difficult repairs. Changing the engine air filter with reliability is no problem. You only have to disengage a few fasteners for access to the filter. These fasteners are easy to disengage. The engine coolant reservoir is easily visible in the engine bay. This will allow you to check and replenish the fluid level on a regular basis. The components of the spare tire are easily accessible in the rear of the vehicle. This keeps the tire and jack kit ready to go in case of emergency.

Some things are more problematic on the 2006 Ford Mustang GT. Changing the fog light bulb can be tough, as you will need to use many tools in order to remove many fasteners and peel back a panel for access to the assembly. You will have to remove the entire tail light housing for access to many of the tail lights. The cabin air filter is located in the cowl. Usually this is an easier to remove location, but this particular cowl has a tight construction.
