The 2007 Chevrolet Impala is a moderately easy car to maintain. Checking the oil level is easy to do, as the oil dipstick is easily accessible in the engine bay. Checking the power steering fluid level is easy to do on this car, as the reservoir is easily accessible in the engine bay. Not every vehicle makes these reservoirs easy to check, so it’s a nice touch to have this so accessible. The engine fuse box is easily accessible in the engine bay. This will allow you to troubleshoot electrical problems easily.

Not everything is perfect on the 2007 Chevrolet Impala. You will have to lift a few panels in order to access the cabin air filter. This is tougher access than you’ll find on other models. In order to access the engine air filter, you will have to loosen the hose connected to the filter. This requires a few tools you may not have readily available. Removing the headlight involves a few more steps, and more tools, than it does on other similar models.
