The 2008 Chevrolet Impala LT is a moderately easy vehicle to maintain, but will require a few tools to complete some of these repairs. Changing the engine air filter with reliability is no problem, as you only have to disengage a few fasteners for access. These fasteners are easy to disengage. The components of the spare tire are easily accessible in the rear of the vehicle. This keeps the tire and jack kit ready to go in case of emergency. Checking the transmission fluid level is easy to do, as the dipstick is easily accessible in the engine bay.

Some things are problematic on the 2008 Chevrolet Impala LT. You will need to use a few tools in order to remove the headlight housing for access to the bulb. Other models do not require the use of tools. Changing the battery is more difficult to do than usual, as you will need to reposition the sway bar. Changing the tail light housing will also require you to completely remove the housing. While this won’t require tools, you will have to complete many steps.
