The 2011 Cadillac STS is a relatively difficult car to maintain, and is only recommended to someone experienced in vehicle maintenance. The headlight is extremely problematic to change on this vehicle. You will need many tools in order to remove the housing from the vehicle, as you have to complete many steps in order to even remove the housing. Changing the engine air filter is more difficult to do than usual. You will need to remove an extra panel, and many fasteners, in order to access the filter. The front fog light can be difficult to change, as you will have to reach through the wheel well lining for reliable access.

Some things are easier on the 2011 Cadillac STS. The components of the spare tire are easily accessible in the rear of the vehicle. This keeps the tire and jack kit ready to go in case of emergency. The engine coolant fluid reservoir is easily visible in the engine bay. This will allow you to check and replenish the fluid level on a regular basis. Changing the front wiper blade is easy to do on this vehicle. Other models require the use of tools, so it’s a nice touch to be able to change these blades with just your hands.
