Car Displayed: 2011 Lincoln MKX 3.7L V6

The 2011 Lincoln MKX is a relatively easy vehicle to maintain, and a good choice for even the inexperienced vehicle owner. Changing the engine air filter is no problem, as you only have to disengage a few fasteners for reliable access. These fasteners are easy to disengage. The headlight is easy to access and remove on this vehicle. You only have to reach behind the housing for access to the bulb. The components of the spare tire are easily accessible in the rear of the vehicle. This keeps the tire and jack kit ready to go in case of emergency.

Some things are more problematic on the 2011 Lincoln MKX. You will have to lower the glove box in order to access the cabin air filter. This would have been easier if there were designated access panels in the rear of the glove box for access. To change the reverse light, you will have to completely remove the tail light housing. The tools necessary may not be readily available for a repair. The brake fluid reservoir is not overly visible on this vehicle. That can make it difficult to keep an eye on the fluid level.
