Consumer Review Video - 2011 Toyota Yaris 1.5L 4 Cyl. Sedan

Common problems and easy repairs on a 2011 Yaris

The 2011 Toyota Yaris is a moderately easy car to maintain. The tail lights are easily accessible behind the trunk lining, which allows for reliable bulb changes when necessary. Both fuse boxes are easy to find and the one in the engine bay comes provided with a fuse puller, so electrical troubleshooting shouldn’t be a problem. The engine air filter has quick and easy access, which makes changing it an all the more reliable process.

However, the 2011 Toyota Yaris does have its downsides. You will need to remove the wheel well lining to access the turn signal and parking lights, which doesn’t facilitate reliable bulb changes. The cabin air filter requires the removal of the glove box and multiple other parts, which can be time-consuming. The brake fluid reservoir is in a cramped location, which makes it a problem to monitor its fluid levels.
