Toyota introduced the Corolla, which is now one of the most popular economy sedan in the US. Other popular Toyotas include the Highlander and RAV4 SUVs as well as the Tacoma and Tundra pickup trucks.

Toyota popularized the hybrid powertrain when it launched the Toyota Prius in the early 2000s. There are now multiple Prius models and Toyota offers hybrid technology on many of its other cars and SUVs.
