The 2012 Chevrolet Equinox LT is a relatively difficult SUV to maintain, but shouldn’t be too hard for someone experienced in vehicle maintenance. To change the engine air filter, you will have to remove some torx bolts first. The tools necessary may not be readily available for a repair. Removing the battery is more difficult than usual, as you will need additional tools to complete additional steps to complete this repair. You will have to take out the tail light housing to change the tail lights. This housing can grow tight to the vehicle and be a problem to pull out.

Some things are easier on the 2012 Chevrolet Equinox LT. The components of the spare tire are easily accessible in the rear of the vehicle. This keeps the tire and jack kit ready to go in case of emergency. Changing the fog light is easy to do, as you only have to reach under the vehicle for reliable access to the bulb. The engine coolant fluid reservoir is easily visible in the engine bay. This will allow you to check and replenish the fluid level on a regular basis.
