Car Displayed: 2012 Chevrolet Sonic LT 1.8L 4 Cyl. Sedan

The 2012 Chevrolet Sonic LT is a relatively easy vehicle to maintain when compared to other similar models. Changing the front wiper blade is easy to do. Other models will require the use of tools for changing your blades. The engine coolant reservoir is easily visible in the engine bay. This will allow you to check and replenish the fluid level on a regular basis. The components of the spare tire are easily accessible in the rear of the vehicle. This keeps the tire and jack kit ready to go in case of emergency.

Some things are problematic on the 2012 Chevrolet Sonic LT. You will have to remove many bolts in order to access the petcock for a coolant drain. This will require you to contend with gravity as you complete. Changing the engine air filter with reliability can be a problem, as you will need to loosen torx bolts first. You will have to completely remove the tail light housing for access to the tail light bulbs. The tools necessary may not be readily available for a repair.
