Common problems and easy repairs on a 2012 Traverse

The 2012 Chevrolet Traverse LS is a moderately difficult vehicle to maintain. Changing the headlight is difficult to do. You will have to peel back the wheel well lining, which can be a problem, as you will need a few tools, and this lining can grow tight to the vehicle over time. You will have to lower the spare tire from under the vehicle for reliable access to it. This can be a problem, as the lowering mechanism can grow rusted to the vehicle over time and be difficult to turn. Accessing and removing the battery is more complicated to do than usual. You will need a few extra tools, and have to work in a more cramped location to complete.

Some things are easier to repair on the 2012 Chevrolet Traverse LS. Both the engine and interior fuse boxes are easy to access on this vehicle. You only have to remove one cover to access either set of fuses, allowing you to troubleshoot electrical problems easily. The brake fluid reservoir is easily visible in the engine bay. This will allow you to check and replenish the fluid level on a regular basis. Checking the oil level is easy to do, as the oil dipstick is easily accessible in the engine bay.
