The 2012 Ford Focus SE is a relatively difficult vehicle to maintain, and is only recommended to those capable of vehicle maintenance. You will have to remove a large panel from under the vehicle for access to the oil drain plug. This will require you to contend with gravity as you complete. Changing the fog light with reliability can be a problem, as you will have to peel back the wheel well lining for access to the bulb. You will need to use more tools than usual in order to access the engine air filter. Other models do not require the use of tools for this repair.

Some things are easier on the 2012 Ford Focus SE. The engine coolant reservoir is easily visible in the engine bay. This will allow you to check and replenish the fluid level on a regular basis. Changing the front wiper blade is easy to do. Other models will require you to use tools for changing your blade. Checking the oil level is easy to do, as the oil dipstick is easily accessible in the engine bay.
