Consumer Review Video - 2012 Kia Sorento EX 3.5L V6

Car Displayed: 2012 Kia Sorento EX 3.5L V6

The 2012 Kia Sorento EX is a moderately easy car to maintain, and a good choice, for the experienced car owner. To access the engine air filter, you only have to disengage a few fasteners for reliable access to the filter. These fasteners are no problem to disengage. The headlight is easy to access, as you only have to reach behind the housing for access to the bulb. Checking the oil level is easy to do, as the oil dipstick is easily accessible in the engine bay.

Some things are tougher to maintain on the 2012 Kia Sorento EX. To access either tail light, you will have to remove many bolts first. This will require the use of tools you may not have readily available for a repair. You will have to lower the spare tire from under the vehicle in order to access. This can be tough, as the lowering mechanism can grow rusted to the vehicle over time. Checking the brake fluid level can be difficult, as the fluid reservoir is not located in an overly visible spot in the engine bay.
