The 2012 Lincoln MKT is a rather difficult vehicle to maintain. The wheel well lining will need to be pried back for access to some of the headlights, which won’t allow for reliable bulb changes. Performing a coolant flush may be a problem as you’ll first have to remove a large panel from underneath the vehicle. Checking the transmission fluid will also be troublesome as you must remove the entire air filter housing before you can reach the dipstick.
However, the 2012 Lincoln MKT does have its upsides. The battery has unobstructed access, so performing jumpstarts or battery replacements shouldn’t be a problem. The brake fluid reservoir is also easy to reach, which will allow you to monitor the fluid level with reliability. The spare tire and jack kit are packaged together which will make for easy access in the event of a flat.
