The 2012 Nissan Murano SL is a relatively difficult car to maintain, and is only recommended for someone capable of handling a tough to repair vehicle as it can give you many problems. In order to check the transmission fluid level, you will have to remove an air filter intake for access to the dipstick. This will require a few tools in order for you to complete. You will have to peel a panel down under the vehicle in order to access the petcock. The fasteners that secure the panel can be difficult to pry out over time. In order to access the fog light, you will have to remove a few fasteners and torx bolts in order reach the bulb. The tools necessary may not be readily available for a repair.

You only have to disengage a few fasteners for access to the filter, and these fasteners are easy to disengage.
