Nissan

Nissan is a Japanese producer of cars, trucks and SUVs. Nissan has marketed cars in the U.S. since the 1960s under the Datsun name, and more recently, Nissan and Infiniti. Nissans were known for sporty cars with Italian styling and continues to be known for vehicles that handle well.

Nissan competes with Toyota, Honda and Ford model-for-model and has popular Sedan, SUV and truck offerings. The Nissan Altima, GTR, Juke, Rogue (UK: Qashqai), Pathfinder, Murano and Versa all sell well. The Nissan Skyline is a cult-favorite sports car that has recently been reincarnated as the Nissan GTR (GT-R). With all wheel drive and a heavily turbocharged engine, many journalists refer to it as Godzilla.

Nissan released the all-electric Leaf at an attractive price point and it continues to be one of the few pure electric vehicles offered in the U.S. Nissan also offers the Frontier and Titan pickups, which are profitable extensions of the brand.
