Consumer Review Video - 2012 Toyota Sequoia SR5 4.6L V8

Common problems and easy repairs on a 2012 Sequoia

The 2012 Toyota Sequoia SR5 is a difficult vehicle to maintain. For access to the tail lights in the hatch door the entire bulb housing will need to be removed, which won’t allow for reliable bulb changes. Accessing many of the headlights will be a problem, as well, given that the wheel well lining, the washer fluid reservoir, and/or the battery will need to be moved to access them. The spare tire is located underneath the vehicle, which is unintuitive as it runs the risk of rusting to the undercarriage.

However, the 2012 Toyota Sequoia SR5 has its upsides. The tail lights in the main housing are located behind two easy-to-remove panels, allowing you to change them with reliability. The cabin air filter is easy to access, as the panels covering it remove without the need for tools. Changing the engine air filter is no problem, as its housing disengages without hassle.
