Common problems and easy repairs on a 2013 Pathfinder

The 2013 Nissan Pathfinder SV is a moderately difficult car to maintain when compared to other similar models. To access the spare tire on this vehicle, you will have to lower it from beneath the vehicle first. This can be a problem, as the lowering mechanism can grow rusted to the vehicle over time. The cabin air filter is difficult to access, as you will have to make a tough reach beneath the glove box, and remove a few panels, in order to access the filter with reliability. Accessing the daytime running light is extremely complicated, as you will have to remove many components in order to access the bulb on either side of the vehicle. This will require tools you may not have readily available for a repair.

Some things are easier to maintain on the 2013 Nissan Pathfinder SV. Accessing the engine air filter is easy to do on this model, as you only have to disengage a few fasteners in order to access the filter. These fasteners are easy to disengage. The headlight is easy to access, as you only have to reach behind the housing for access to the bulb. Checking the oil level is easy to do, as the oil dipstick is easily accessible in the engine bay.
