Consumer Review Video - 2014 Buick Encore 1.4L 4 Cyl. Turbo

Common problems and easy repairs on a 2014 Encore

The 2014 Buick Encore is a relatively easy car to maintain, and shouldn’t be too hard for even the average car owner. Changing the headlight is no problem, as you only have to reach behind the housing for access to the bulb. Removing the battery is easier to do on this vehicle, as the bracket that secures the battery is itself easy to remove. The engine coolant fluid reservoir is easily visible in the engine bay. This will allow you to check and replenish the fluid level on a regular basis.

Some things are more problematic to repair on the 2014 Buick Encore. You will have to remove a few torx bolts, and peel back a panel, in order to access the lower radiator hose for a coolant drain. The tools necessary may not be readily available for a repair. Changing the front wiper blade can be a problem, as you will need to use a tool in order to reliably release the blade. Other models do not require the use of tools to complete. You will have to lower the glove box in order to access the cabin air filter. This would have been easier if there were designated panels in the rear of the glove box for access to the filter.
