Common problems and easy repairs on a 2014 IS250

The 2014 Lexus IS250 is a relatively easy vehicle to maintain when compared to other similar models. Changing the engine air filter is no problem, as you only have to disengage a few fasteners for access to the filter. These fasteners are easy to disengage. The components of the spare tire are easily accessible in the rear of the vehicle. This keeps the tire and jack kit ready to go in case of emergency. Changing the front wiper blade is easy to do. Other models will require the use of tools, so it’s a nice touch to be able to change these blades with just your hands.

Some things are more problematic on the 2014 Lexus IS250. You will have to remove a few bolts, and peel down a panel, in order to access the fog light. This is more complicated access than you’ll find on other models. Connecting the Bluetooth can be tough, as you will have to use a strange touch pad in order to browse through the menu. Other models make this process more reliably streamlined. The coolant reservoir is not easily visible in the engine bay. This can make it tough to keep an eye on the fluid level.
