Consumer Review Video - 2017 Ford Focus RS 2.3L 4 Cyl. Turbo

Common problems and easy repairs on a 2017 Focus

The 2017 Ford Focus RS is difficult to maintain. The headlights will require the entire housing to be pried out for access to them while the side turn signal will require the removal of the side view mirror—both set-ups of which will not allow for reliable bulb changes. Reaching the battery bracket will be difficult as you must first remove the air filter housing, which has a convoluted set-up. Fixing a flat tire may be a problem as the compressor kit may not be able to fix a severely damaged flat.

However, the 2017 Ford Focus RS does have its upsides. The engine coolant reservoir has unobstructed access, allowing you to reliably monitor the fluid level. The fuse boxes are quick to reach and one conveniently comes provided with a fuse puller. Connecting your phone via Bluetooth won’t be a problem thanks to the clear instructions and touchscreen menu.
