The 2017 Ford Transit-150 XLT is difficult to maintain. The driver seat must be tilted out of the way and a cover must be removed to access the battery, which is a convoluted and cramped set-up. Changing either the headlights or the tail lights will require entire housing removals and multiple different tools, which will make it hard to do with any reliability. Fixing a flat tire could be problematic if the spare tire is rendered inaccessible by rusting to the undercarriage.

However, the 2017 Ford Transit-150 XLT has a few upsides. The engine coolant reservoir has unobstructed access that will allow you to reliably monitor the fluid level. Checking the fuses won’t be a problem as the fuse boxes are easily accessible, and one already comes provided with a fuse puller. Performing an oil change will be easy as both the drain plug and filter have very open access.
