Common problems and easy repairs on a 2017 Tacoma
The 2017 Toyota Tacoma SR is an easy truck to maintain. Many of the headlights are accessible by simply reaching behind the housing, allowing for reliable bulb changes. Connecting your phone via Bluetooth won’t be a problem thanks to the clear instructions on the touchscreen menu. The engine air filter housing disengages without the use of tools, allowing for quick filter access in the event it needs to be replaced.
However, the 2017 Toyota Tacoma SR has some downsides. One of the parking lights will require tools to disengage the wheel well lining for access, which will be a time-consuming process that won’t make for a reliable bulb change. The front wiper blades will require a panel puller to disengage them, which will be rather tedious. The spare tire must be lowered from underneath the truck, which could be a problem if it ends up rusting to the undercarriage.
