Car Displayed: 2018 Ford Expedition Max XLT 3.5L V6 Turbo

The 2018 Ford Expedition Max XLT is relatively easy to maintain. The battery has unobstructed access to the terminals and the bracket, allowing for hassle-free jumpstarts and replacements. Connecting your phone via Bluetooth won’t be a problem thanks to the clear instructions on the touchscreen menu. The engine air filter housing can be disengaged without the use of tools, allowing for reliable filter changes.

However, the 2018 Ford Expedition Max XLT has its fair share of pain points. Some of the headlights will require the wheel well lining to be pried back for access to them, which won’t allow for reliable bulb changes. Checking the transmission fluid levels will be a problem as you’ll first have to remove a large panel from underneath the vehicle to reach the dipstick. The spare tire must be lowered from underneath the vehicle for access to it, which could be troublesome if it becomes rusted to the undercarriage.
